Dorothée graduated from NSCAD University with a major in jewellery design and metalsmithing, and a minor in art history in 2005. In her Halifax studio, she creates jewellery from start to finish. She is inspired by her surroundings, and executes her work to the finest detail. Her European upbringing informs her design sensibility, which makes her work so noticeable on the discerning wearer. Most pieces are one-of-a-kind within each series which mainly have rings, earrings, necklaces, bangles. Her Onefooter rings in gold and silver, with or without precious or semiprecious gems, are her best-known series. Dorothée’s work is sold in notable North American fine craft and contemporary jewellery galleries and museum stores, such as Galerie Noël Guyomarc’H in Montreal, the shopAGO in Toronto, and Facere Art Jewelry in Seattle.
